Duende del Mar is a Condo-Hotel in Playa Del Carmen, situated at the top corner of the Mexican State of Quintana Roo. Its location couldn’t be more privileged and beautiful: central, close to all amenities, 5 minutes walking distance from the famous 5ta Avenida and from Coach Station, Ferry boat to Cozumel Island. Playa del Carmen is a small town willing to keep the local traditions and, at the same time, to offer all of the facilities required by modern visitors. “Playa” is positioned in the middle of the glorious Mayan Riviera, north of Quintana Roo, between Cancun and Tulum (120km), beside the highway “Carretera Federal”, where the highest concentration of the most beautiful beaches in the world is. Playa is a unique and multipurpose tourist destination, surrounded by the ancient Mayan World, ideal for anyone, whether is looking to enjoy relaxation, adventure, aquatic sports or to explore ancient sites, caves and uncontaminated landscapes. In the Mexican Caribbean you will experience sights of many of the most fascinating scenarios on the earth. The Mayan Mythology is also very rich of tales many of which are related to Aluxes (Duendes) (leprechauns, goblins, trolls), small protective creatures only visible to human eye when they want to, and keep away bad luck, misfortune and ghosts. Here is the origin of our accommodation Duende del Mar: we want to be like the Aluxes that protect with their presence everyone around them. The concept behind the design of the apartments, every one unique/different from others, is to play with nature, architecture and history, offering at the same time all of the facilities required by the modern living: fully furnished, with terrace, kitchen, cable TV, hot water and air conditioning.
