Temperatures are warmer in summer and mild in winter. Catalan is the official language of Catalonia, but the Castilian is spoken by the population. Castilian and Catalan in Barcelona coexist in a bilingual situation similar to that found in other parts of the world.

Historic Center and Las Ramblas

One of the most attractive and concurrency places are Las Ramblas, Paseo located between the Plaza Catalunya, the city center and the Old Port.

Architecture

Barcelona is known as the capital of modernism. Another of the most famous works of Gaudi are the Park Güell (Parc Güell), Casa Mila, also known as "La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

Beaches in Barcelona

Barcelona has six beaches that occupy more than 4.2 linear miles of coastline. The beaches are located near downtown and just minutes from anywhere in the city.

Barcelona has become a focal point for nightlife in Spain. You can find several bars and nightclubs in many districts of Barcelona, Gracia and Pueblo Nuevo.
